I love nascar and not to be offensive but i love Burton. But what sucks is that he got nocked off of the 1st place in point standings because of Busch, a toyota But why doesn't nascar do anything about it. From what i heard, nascar lowered the horse power on chevies, dodges, and all other american brands tto give toyota an advantage from when it sucked its first year. Why rig it and then when they win so much be supprised? I hate this so much and it makn me mad to see good racing demolished like that. Can anyone explain to me why they wont fix back? I mean everybody else worked to get where they are and nascar wrecks it. And by the way, Im so backing Stewart for leaving Gibbs.

  1. first of you, you say that burton got "nocked" out of 1st "because of Busch, a toyota." that's your first mistake. busch is a driver, toyota is a car manufacturer. busch drives a toyota, but he is not toyota. and "from what [you] heard" you heard wrong. show me the source you heard it from?  nobody lowered the horsepower on any of the manufacturers, except maybe toyota - as they were forced to develop all new engines (and not use the same ones they use in the trucks) because they were doing so well there.

and what's with toyota?  well, they've got kyle busch running in one this year and he, his team, and a little luck have managed to win seven races so far this year.  if he keeps up at this pace, he still won't have a shot at bringing toyota near as many wins as chevy had last year, but i missed your question complaining about their dominance back while that was going on...

and what else is with toyota, they have managed to work their butts off - in conjunction with joe gibbs - to work within the box nascar put them in last year.  when they entered the nationwide and cup series levels, they were told they would have to develop a whole new engine. they had done pretty darn well with the engines in their toyota trucks, and nascar tried to bind their hands even more by NOT allowing them to use those engines - they had to develop all new ones.  and they did, and did it well.

and last year was a year for "getting the kinks out" while working with teams that although they are good, they are definitely not on jgr's level. so gibbs, realizing that no matter how well they were doing were never going to treated better than #3 on chevy's nascar teams customer list (behind hendrick and childress), switched to toyota, where they are treated as their #1 customers.  and they've been successful doing it.

if you squint your eyes and look real hard you can see the same thing happening with their winningest driver at the moment - no matter how hard kyle might have tried last year (or this year had he been allowed to stay), he was always going to be treated a "little less than" jeff gordon and jimmie johnson.  so he went somewhere where he could be treated as an equal, and he has excelled.

as for the rest of your argument, it is utter nonsense in many ways. seriously, most of it is unreadable. although you may have a point that toyota's have some horsepower advantage in the nationwide series, they didn't do so by breaking any rules and the other manufacturers had their chance to submit new engines (like the chevy R07) - they just werern't ready. so they fell behind, in the NATIONWIDE series.

in the SPRINT CUP series, however, the advantage is in the driver and the team, not the engine. it is not "toyota" who has an advantage in the there - it is kyle busch/joe gibbs racing. not even clint bowyer is dumb enough to make a statement about a monkey being able to win in the #18 because he KNOWS that not to be true. there are only three toyotas in the top 12 (all of them gibbs), yet there are five chevys (six if you count bowyer at #13), three fords and one dodge.  sounds like chevy has a slight advantage there.

and take away kyle busch's seven wins and toyota has only one win - hamlin's.  besides that, chevy has four, dodge has four, and ford has three (all carl edwards). last year chevy won 26 of the 36, ford had 7, dodge had 3, and toyota 0.  where was your complaining about nascar not "doing something about chevrolet" then?

as for your backing stewart for leaving gibbs, good for you. i'm sure he'll mark that down as one in the win column for him. i haven't heard too many people, including gibbs racing, not back him for his decision - they even let him out of his contract a year early because of WHO HE IS not because of WHAT HE DRIVES. sounds like you really don't give a d@mn about stewart as a driver, but instead you only care that he leaves a team that runs toyotas.  hey, if that's how you choose your favorite drivers and decide "who to back", you go girl...

  2. I'm tired of hearing people saying toyota has an advantage. If chevy was dominating like toyota no one would be complaining. It's not toyota's fault their too good. Chevy, Dodge and Ford need to step it up. And on top of that, most of the toyota wins are by kyle busch anyway, so If toyota was dominant, every toyota would be winning.

  3. The information you read was in the NATIONWIDE SERIES. With the COT, all the cars are the exact same and powerhouse. Toyota, Chevrolet, Dodge, and Ford have the same horsepower..

& Look at the side how Kyle Busch has not had ANY bad luck this season that is why he is doing so good. If you watched all the races you would notice that....

Stewart is leaving the best team in NASCAR I'm sorry to say.

  4. nobody in toyota but Kyle Busch (if you count out hamlins Martinsville win) is the only winning toyota driver

  5. The big change was Gibbs... Not all the Toyota's are running well. Don't you think that if they had more horsepower all the Toyota's would be running well?

  6. Yeah they are cheating.  And Jeff Gordons team always pulled the fenders up and created extra downforce for the car 10 years strait!  Hmmm whom was given the advantage....

  7. How many toyotas do you see winning.  If toyota had the advantage, you would see all the toyotas winning.  I give kyle more credit than i give toyota

  8. Im LMAO at DTMJ's answer! They have'nt made a Supra in atleast a decade! I know Toyota's are good car's but they make nothing cool!

  9. Toyota sucked last year...but look at the drivers they had. Michael Waltrip racing, pfft. Now they have a great team behind them in JGR with the best drivers in NASCAR and look at what their doing.

  10. dont know why they would have to lower that standards for Toyota?

the american car makers should be raising their standards to compete with Toyota

i mean no american company has ever made a car that was as powerful and efficient as a supra
