Counting the one this week, I find record of about a dozen others in the last year. Usually the same scenario: gunman goes in and just starts mowing them down.

Most often in the south or the southwest.

In your opinion, what gives with this? Isn't church supposed to be about peace and God and kindness?

I understand there's a lot of frustration in the land... but why churches?

  1. Atheists need a new way to spread the message..

  2. There is a lot of frustration with in this world, but why do the perks, need to bring it into the house of the Lord is behind comprehension.

  3. Which  Country are we talking about please... ?

  4. One big factor is that, while normal people see churches as places of worship, people who have "issues" tend to see them as a target.  People might be mad over the church's stance on g**s, immigrants, etc. and decide to target them.  This fact is coupled with the idea that people in churches are rather helpless.  You get people who are worshipping their God in a place that's traditionally a sanctuary....they probably aren't going to whip out the guns and start firing back at you.  Basically, churches are a target for delusional COWARDS who want an easy target.

  5. Gods not doing a very good job of protecting his flock.

  6. Probably because churches represent the establishment and traditional life in these areas.  Also, churches are where large groups of people congregate--if someone's going out with a bang, they generally do that in an area where lots of people will be.

  7. People that attend church for religious reasons are already delusional so you would expect acts of violence to occur at some point in time.
