It seems like it happens all the time in front of the net but it is almost never called. Is it just me? Is it how hard they hit?

  1. it just depends on where the puck is if its kinda close to the player being hit the won't call it unless its in the back...but if that player is no where near the puck and they get dropped they will most definatley call it

  2. Depends who is crosschecking, who is receiving, what time of the game it is, where it is on the ice,  and who the ref likes.

For instance... If your name is Tomas Holmstrom, and you get crosschecked, it ony has to be called 10% of the time.  However, if you are Sidney Crosby and get crosschecked, you will draw the penalty 95% of the time.

  3. i agree with dewman. it almost seemed as if the refs were trying to help the pens win the cup!!!! that was some of the worst reffing i have seen in a game. the goals that were called back due to goalie interference were big jokes, it seemed like the last two minutes of every game redwings spent on a penalty kill. gill could get away with punching someone in the face in front of the ref but let holstrum stand in front of the goalie and he would get a penalty. they won despite the refs!!!!!! it wasn't only this series but look at the flyers and pens games, flyers stayed on the pk.  seems as if the refs made alot of bad calls all season long, i know they can't see and call everything but look at the things that happened right under their nose this year( i watch a lot of hockey not just the redwings and saw it happen all year long with different teams)

  4. Sometimes the refs won't see the crosschecks.
