Question:

What's with the Dale Jr. fans?

I've noticed lately that Dale Earnhardt, Jr. has his brigade of guys who will come to any concensus over why Junior didn't win other than his driving skill (and lack thereof). They blamed Brian Vickers at Talladega, Kyle Busch, and (once proved wrong), Denny Hamlin at Richmond. You blamed his TEAMMATE, Michael Waltrip for an incident back in 2005.

So my question is, to Junior fans, what's up with that? Why do you expect that Dale wins every single week, and try to find a reason for why he didn't win? Would you be willing to go as far as blaming Tony for wrecking him (probably) at Chicagoland, and then blaming Goodyear the next week if he blows a tire at Indy?

And to all others, do you agree that Junior fans have a misguided sense of entitlement?

  1. what i don't get is why all the bandwagon kyle busch fans are so obsessed with junior and his fans. the so called kyle busch 'fans' on this forum ask and answer more questions about junior than they do about their own driver (partly because not one single one of them was a kyle busch 'fan' before this year)

actually winter glory, i was the one who called you dense, and boy did you have it coming with your statement about how the gold digging teresa earnhardt built a multi million dollar corporation. and yes, bandwagon is the worst i have for you because it's the worst possible thing a sports fan can be. and trust me, you're not the only one. best answer, huck_4, kyle busch's #1 fan, you're all bandwagon jumpers and i can't wait to see who the hot driver is the 2nd half of the season so i can find out who y'alls NEW favorite driver will be.

of course the people in this forum are gonna give you the most thumbs up, duh! because this forum is full of haters. the people on here are so jealous of junior nation they all make up moronic stories to hate on junior and his fans, too bad none of them are based on fact. as for the other part of your response, yes, the patriots really kicked @ss last year didn't they? they blatently cheated by filming their opponents signals and they still got their @sses whipped in the superbowl. bill billacheat doesn't look like such a genious when he no longer knows what plays his opponents are going to run does he? as for the celtics and red sox, they both play g*y stupid sports so who cares? you might as well mention how well your soccer team is doing.

note3 to JM: stewart has been in top nocth equipment at JGR his entire career while junior has over achieved in that c**p DEI puts on the track. the only fair comparison between the 2 would have to be this year now that junior is finally in equal equipment. junior is 2nd in points, where's stewart?

and BTW junior has 18 wins not 17. get your facts straight before you make yourself sound more stupid than you already do.

  2. It's just that there's so many Junior fans it scares people like you. I think it's funny. I also think it's fun. The only thing I don't like is when Tony Stewart fans throw beer cans.

  3. I agree with you. Not all are like that, but quite a few always have a reason for Dale Jr. losing. I guess some of them think he's perfect because of his dad. I don't get it. It just makes them look bad to outsiders too see a group of fans always pin the blame on other drivers when he loses instead of just taking it in stride and saying "he'll get it back next week." The term sore loser fits pretty good, but a lot of fans are like that, can't stand to see anybody but their favorite win. This is just my opinion from what I've seen, though, no driver is perfect, so there is no need to have an excuse for them every time something goes wrong.

Dale Jr. never blames anyone, so why do SOME of his fans need to? He is nice, doesn't blame other drivers even if it is their fault, and is pretty down to earth, but some of his fans are the exact opposite and it doesn't make sense to me.

  4. Your odds are better than 43:1 its more like 23:1 there are atleast 20 fillers cars in the race every week.

  5. not 1 d**n thing

  6. They blame because they cant handle the truth

  7. I do not expect Junior to win every week.

But the race in Talledega, well that speaks for itself. Junior already knew he was not going to win Jimmie was too strong, but Vickers ruined that .

I agree there are alot of Junior fans that do blame other drivers when he dosn't win, but I also see it as when they do it is when he is leading and he gets wrecked or when someone intentionally stays on the track when he should of pitted.

I have to admit that I am one of them that blame, but I usually get over it before the next race.

But when people keep on bringing it up what are you supposed to do.

  8. I am not part of jr nation but I do think kyle Busch purposely wrecked jr but i do agree that jr nation does make a lot of excuses when jr does not win

  9. Looks like you're learning the way things work around here. Junior fans can say whatever they want about any driver they want, but if you say anything bad about Junior, you must be burned at the stake.

  10. Put me in the "other" category..

My answer: Most of them, yes.

edit: LMAO know it all.......if "bandwagon fan" is the best you've got for me, that's pretty pitiful, I've been called worse, MUCH worse!! Why just yesterday, someone called me "dense"

Besides, if you're so offended by my answer, you must qualify to be one of the "most" I was referring to!

added:I knew it was you that called me dense, that's why I said it. And judging by the thumbs up/downs, I guess more people agreed with me.

As far as the bandwagon fan thing, eh....I'm from Massachusetts, I've been called a bandwagon Celtics fan, a bandwagon Patriots fan, a bandwagon BoSox fan, so why should nascar be any different? Now if only the Bruins could kick in gear, I'd be a bandwagon Bruins fan, too. I ask of you Know it all, is it my fault that whoever I pick as a favorite ends up kickin' @ss?

It's not all Jr. fans I'm against, I married one. You shouldn't take things so personally. You wanna call me a bandwagon fan? Knock yourself out, I won't be losing any sleep over it :)

added again: My soccer team? The New England Revolution 10-4, thanks for asking. And great answer a few too many!!

  11. I agree with you 100 percent!! It is sickening how the majority

    of Jr. fans act!

  12. Well, Dale Jr. blames no one. He's always very professional on staying out of controversy. And I'm no Jr. fan. Here's a better question, why does Kyle always blame someone else when he wrecks? It's usually himself anyways,.

  13. i would blame stewart for wrecking him not for costing him a win. kyle busch at richmond was the oly thing that actually costed Jr. a win.

But we all know that stewart and jr. are good friends and tony would never wreck him. His team mates are a different story.

  14. They all suck *** because they're mad because kyle busch  bumped him at richmond and cost him the race waaah waah boo hoo get over it that was then this is now

  15. True NASCAR fans with a favorite driver know it's hard to win. Your chance of winning is 43:1 each week.

  16. JM is my new hero for the Tony stats!!

The problem isnt with Jr.  Its his die-hard fans, who refuse to accept that he isnt a special driver.  He has a special name as it relates to NASCAR history.

How did all of the die hard fans become HMS fans overnight?

  17. you should have stuck with your original question.

your additional comments show your ignorance.

  18. Well I guess if the shoe fits wear it...  Vickers did wreck Jr and Johnson at the dega. NO DOUBT! Maybe the wreck at richmond was just racing but when you look at how it all took place you have to ask yourself what that fishey smell was. I do not hate Kyle and I understand he is a hard charging all or nothing driver. That weekend and the one preceeding it he pulles the very same move and it resulted in the very same thing in Craftsman trucks, Nationwide and finally Sprint. But it really is over and done with. Isn't it? Come on! They raced clean since and yes had Denny not stopped and brought out the caution Jr would have won. HANDS DOWN! So who's really to blame anyway for that one? In NH Jr did everything he could on the backstrecth except climb out of the car to say HEY I AM PITTING!!!! Seems earlier this year he blew a tire and was okay until someone flew into the ars of his car and finished him off. Last year on every occasion, which there were plenty of, his engine blew he was eother leading or in the top 5 and running very strong. Hardly something a non tallented driver could achieve. That final engine failure when he was dominating prompted the bow in the grass after he climbed out and marked his frustration with running another good race only to have the motor blow again. Haven't seen one blow this year and where is he in the points? 2nd, the highest he has ever been. Not bad for just an average driver? I suppose the next thing you will say is, is that a double driving for him?

I have no sense of entitlement. I pull for Jr, ran or shine and will until he retires. I would love to see him run away with every race and win them, but thats too unreal to expect. I just want to see him do well and when he doesn't I am still a Jr fan. When he messes up he says it and says it humbly without finger pointing, if he gets taken out, even then he is a bit quieter than alot of others I have seen storm off to the hauler and refuse to talk about it.

  19. Don't tell me you don't feel the same way about your favorite driver. Its not just Junior fans, and you shouldn't make it out to be just us. Many people are blaming Tony Stewart's bad season on bad luck. The point is Junior has had a car that can win week in and week out. It is true that he has been taken out by some bad luck, but then again who hasn't.

My point is everyone wants to see their favorite driver in victory lane, and if you don't, your obviously not a very loyal fan. Everyone "what ifs" a little, not just Jr. fans!

  20. I'm a Dale JR. fan. I don't blame others for his losses unless there is blame to be given. I even blame him sometimes. We aren't all haters.

  21. I agree to an extent. He is a good driver. He does run well in certain races and then be taken out by a problem, but the fans are ridiculous sometimes. A friend of mine who went to NH 2 weeks ago automatically said the race sucked because Jr. crashed. That was the best Cup race in NH in years, but Jr. crashed and that's all that mattered. That's my beef with Jr. fans.

  22. I'm not a hater.  I just want Candice Michelle back on the Go-Daddy commercials not DaleJr.   I mean really.  If you would rather watch Jr for 30 seconds rather than her, wow, that's way to much fan dedication.  I do think his popularity is not related to his driving skills.  If it was, we wouldn't see much of him on TV.

How come I never see a Jr fan compare him to Stewart?  I mean, stewart has only run 29 more races than jr but has almost double the amount of wins. Stewart 32/Jr  17 wins.   Stewart 2 Champs/Jr 0?

I'm not a Stewart fan but fair is fair.  If you are going to compare, lets get them all out there.

They should quit making excuses for him and accept the fact that over his 8 or 9 year career whatever it is he has not done anything so spectacular to make me drool over him like some people do. He is having his best season this year and still just has 1 win in over 2 yrs

  23. I don't blame anyone, I am NOT a hater. Jr. never blames anyone either... even if it's their fault... :)

    Go Dale Jr.!!!!

    JUNIOR NATION!!
