What's with the middle name Marie????

EVERYONE has it.

INcluding me.

I wish people would not put it on their lists of advice for middle names.

Its wayyy annoying and common.

Thats my middle name Salina Marie But I think  Names that end in "ie" "y" OR "EE" Sound best ex: Melanie Marie, Genessee Marie, Haily Marie,  hope you find the first name good luck!

It's a two syllable name with an even stress which means it's going to sound acceptable with a lot of names. People these days are opting for names that sound good (or at least sound not bad) with names or for middle names that flow instead of middle names they necessarily like/have meaning.

Does it really matter?  It goes with most first names and 99.9% of people don't use their middle names anyway.

I think the middle name Marie goes with a lot of first names.  It's also very pretty.

They are called filler middle names. There are first name trends, and there are also middle name trends. During the 80s it was common that everybody got the middle name Marie---Anne, Lynn, and Rose were popular too. They were popular because they are short, sound good with just about any first name, and parents frankly don't want to take the time to think of something better. Alas, you ended up with a filler.

Today's filler middles are virtue names (Grace, Hope, Faith, Joy, etc).

Well, what is your question? If you don't want your kid to be middle-named Marie, then don't! But don't bag on other people when they do! Anyway it's pretty for a name, middle or first. And just about any name goes with Marie:

Well i know alot of people who use their middle names and it is  a common middle name but it does go with most names. Just get it changed if you hate ot that bad..
