at around the same time....?

Funny...how the media emphasizes more importance on one and not the other...

Way to go NY Times...? Fairness is definitely not your strong suit...

  1. Umm...unless the presidential candidate is a crackhead I would say that it's completely irrelevant as is a DUI.  Anything that happened two decades ago is of no concern to me.  Politics is politics and most of it is completely irrelevant...unless it's used to tear down the candidate that you don't support that is.

  2. bush did coke not crack and he is not an official candidate McSame is standing in for him. The dui could be worse cause it put others at risk

  3. the latter.

  4. I'd say a VP candidate and her husband who want their state to secede from the union are a wee bit worse.

No way, no how, no McCain!

  5. Who did crack? Obama tried cocaine, Palin tried marajuana... Bush tried both and was also an alcoholic...You voted him into office twice...so apparently you felt he was competent enough. Further, driving under the influence is always worse than doing something that only has the potential to harm yourself.

  6. Worse than the crack, I'm more concerned about his ties to terrorists, US haters and people claiming that we've developed AIDS to wipe out black people.

Add to that a VP that is tied to lobbyists and has sons who are benefiting and there's change for ya.

I'll take the DUI over that any day.  Obama can go and pound sand.

  7. What's better or worse? When I ask myself if I am better or worse off than when George Bush became president the answer is a resounding WORSE. Bill Clinton had our country on the right track. George Bush has destroyed what he accomplished.

The worst thing I believe a president has done is to be falsely elected and deny Americans the president they elected--Al Gore.

  8. Definitely the presidential candidate doing crack!!!  The DUI guy isn't going to be running our country....  I really feel like the media is trying to sway the nation to Obama.  How unfair!!!!

  9. crack of course since the  spouse is not running for office.

  10. The VP's husband of course, Barry didn't get caught.

  11. if you do enough crack, you can't drive which saves gas and lives,,,plus if a Presidential candidate is doing crack at least we have a reason to know why they are telling a lie, instead of thinking they lie because they seem normal

  12. let's not forget that Palin her self did smoke weed.

    so t*t for tat.

no one is a freaking angel in this election

    get over your self

  13. It's a toss-up between the DUI, Bush's alcoholism, and Rush Limbaugh's past addiction to pain killers

  14. Newt Gingrich just brought that up!  Yes, double standard, yet in both cases, at 22, please, you still make a lot of mistakes. Now if they'd done that at 35 or 40...well.

  15. Wow you really don't think deeply before you post these do you

The first one didn't tell he did and wow the second did, admitted it was a mistake and moved on

The first hid it during the vetting process and that speaks volumes about their honesty

  16. With a DUI there's more chance to killing someone just as Laura Bush did at about the same time as well.  She ran through a stop sign and killed someone.

  17. I wasn't aware that Obama was doing crack right now...?

How odd! He seems so well-spoken and articulate in the public spotlight!

Maybe that's the downside to doing drugs?

    Hmm...

  18. Who cares?

  19. This is only the tip of the iceberg regarding the NY Times as well as MSNBC, CNN, CBS, NBC and ABC.

I say boycott them all until they start telling the truth without pushing an agenda.

  20. Bush IS THE PRESIDENT, not a candidate anymore. OK?

  21. Neither are important.

    Unless it affects them today.

There are side affects with long term alcoholism and drug use, in Obamas case, that did not happen.

    Peace

    Jim

    .

  22. Just forget it because that was then,

and this is now. Let's just look at the new

candidates and see what they intend to try

to do for America and their citizens. That's

    what is important.

  23. Both are immaterial to the current election.
