What's interesting about this is that the liberals really don't care whether Palin's daughter is pregnant.  The thing is, it's a clear demonstration that the Republican programs towards managing teenage pregnancy flat out don't work.  If it doesn't work in their own homes, how can they expect it to work for the country as a whole?

That's why the liberals will make a big deal out of it.  Not in an attempt to crucify the girl, but in an attempt to crucify the Republican policies on abstinence-only education.

So, Obama has a colleague from the University of Illinois who did some stupid things in his youth when Obama was 9 years old. If anything, this shows Obama doesn't blindly judge someone by actions from his past. Most of us have done some bad things when we were young. There's not a whole lot of ground here.

Palin accepted the VP nomination knowing that it will thrust her pregnant daughter onto the public stage and subject her to ridicule. That's a cruel, careless and irresponsible thing to do to your daughter. Besides, she also has two young children who need a lot of attention right now, the other diagnosed with Down syndrome. Way to advance your career by walking over your family.

Besides, there are a lot of other questionable things about Palin, say her forementioned connections to the AIP. The fact that she says "I have been focusing on the state government. I haven't focused on the war on Iraq" and "What does the VP really do every day?". No matter how McCain stresses it, membership of the P.T.A. doesn't qualify as experience for going against the K.G.P. That she ran to office on a platform to build the "bridge to nowhere" before she claimed credit in scrapping the project. There's a lot more, but I don't want to go on all day.
