What's worse? missing the playoffs, or seeing your least fav team win the Cup?

So, what would be worse, to have your very fav team miss the playoffs by 1 point, or to have to watch your least fav team win the Cup?

My favorite barely missed the playoffs, my most hated team is going to win the cup, and my favorite team was the team that beat my most hated team for about a 1/4 of their loses in the regular season and would have played them first round if they made it into the playoffs.

That is what is worst.

Well missing the playoffs a few years ago as a minnesota wild fan was sucky but last year seeing my least favorite team (ducks) win that cup pissed me off! i can't stand that team still!!!

Well I'm going to say missing the playoffs by a point because my favorite team did that this season and i was completely devastated.

I would be upset if my least favorite team won the cup, but i dont really care about them i just care about my team and i would want to see them in the playoffs.

After "four years of playoff cheers," I realized for the first time how much not participating in post-season action hurts.

Not making the playoffs at all would be worse in my eyes.  Playoff hockey is about as good as it gets -- even when I'm watching teams I'm not a fan of -- but when your team is in it, it's that much more exciting.  

Besides, I make sure I watch the Stanley Cup Finals every year no matter who is playing.  Watching a team win the Cup is about the coolest thing there is to watch in sports -- even if I truly can't stand the team that is winning it.

They both suck.  I was glad my team got in but disappointed they didn't get past the first round.  

This house is split on this year's outcome though: wife wants Red Wings to win because she doesn't want to hear about it from co-workers in Pittsburgh and I'd like to see the Pens win because I hate Detroit.
