What's wrong with it? (CATS)?

My cat just had kittens last Friday. Only one of them survived and it was doing fine up to right now. The kitten keeps crying and the mom is always with it. What seems to be the problem?

  1. that could be a million things.  First off newborn anythings do cry- its all they know how to do. Secondly it may be sick - if the other kittens didn't make it, it to may have something wrong with it.  Or maybe it is just scared and lonely since it's siblings died.  hey you never know!  Obviously your best  bet is to take it to a vet.  If you can't do that - make sure the kitten is feeding - every few hours at most, getting plenty of attention from mom- (if mom starts ignoring her or not feeding her it's a bad sign).  Make sure it's warm and dry wherever their "home base" is.  You can even put a space heater in to help if it's to cold and damp.  Hopefully its just normal kitten crys.  Good luck.

  2. Well, do newborn babies cry? Yes! It's just a newborn thing...
