What's wrong with jogging in skinny jeans?

I love my skinny jeans, so what's so wrong with running in them. I don't like how running shorts/pants look. My skinny jeans are cute while running clothes aren't. So what's the real reason I'm not supposed to run in my skinny jeans?

  1. cuz skinny jeans'll break easier cuz they're tighter

  2. You can run in them if you want, but it's a bad idea for a few reasons.

If they're tight, they'll restrict blood flow to your feet and calves.  You'll feel serious discomfort from that and you might cramp or tear your feet up and not even know it.

You will also destroy your jeans if you run in them.  Sweating and constant motion will wear away the fabric.  Running will tear up the seams and do damage.

You will wear away the skin on your legs from the fabric constantly rubbing.  Basically, it's like getting an Indian Rub for a half-hour.

You WILL look stupid.  You might think it's cute, but if you are fashion-conscious, you will learn that any runners wearing make-up, those stupid huge sunglasses, or anything that's fashionable.... they look flat-out dumb.

But, who are we to tell you what to do.  If you like them, go for it.  Wear them.  My guess is: It won't last long.

    Good luck!

  3. seriously.. what kind of question is that?

if you need to look so skinny buy some skinny athletic pants.

Jeans make it harder to stretch and run faster.

  4. Run whatever you feel comfortable in. The advantages of using specified running clothes however, is that most products are tailored for running- with dri fit fabrics (light weight, and wicks away sweat), whereas jeans can't do that.

Maybe in time, as you get more into running, you'll get past the 'running clothes looks ugly' phase and see the real reason while people use running clothes: comfort and specification.

  5. actually tight jeans keep your muscles from moving as freely as shorts or sweatpants

this can tear up your muscles and keep you from being able to run at all

even if your jeans feel fine, there is probably a small amount of tension in between them and your legs

and it only takes a small amount of tension to seriously hurt yourself

  6. ITs all about dressing for the occasion. If you do yardwork you don't do it in a suit.

Running shorts might not be cute in your opinion, but theyre practical as thye let you run in a more natural motion, skinny jeans constrict a little bit, and it adds up in the long run. And trust me, other people will think you look more normal jogging in running shorts than in skinny jeans, no offense.

  7. When it comes to what to wear when running its all about how your equipment improves your running, not how it looks. When you choose shoes, its all about trying on a whole bunch of pairs to see which onces feel best and match how you run, not how you look. And when you're deciding what to wear, you should think more about performance and not looks.

  8. a good alternative would be to wear spandex, if you try it you'll see the difference

  9. is this question serious?  running in jeans would be so uncomfortable and just add extra weight to you.  and especially with summer coming up... wouldn't you be hot?  who cares what you look like when you're running?
