Question:

What's wrong with me? Am I depressed?

I feel so lonely all the time, like no one understands me or cares.

I don't have many friends because I'm really shy so it's hard for me to make new ones.

The friends I do have I hardly ever see because I'm usually staying at home instead of being with them.

Sometimes I'll feel really happy and then all of a sudden I feel like I want to cry.

I don't know what to do because even when I'm surrounded by people I feel so alone.

And I feel so ugly and disgusting like no one could ever like me even though people tell me I'm not I still think that I am.

What's wrong with me?

  1. yes you are, the best thing I recommend is find someone you trust to talk to them

    It really helps to get things of your chest

  2. Maybe, but a lot of people are like this every single day. Best thing to do is think of how lucky you are compared to other folks in the world (especially those suffering of starvation or living in war torn areas). That usually puts things into perspective.

  3. You sound depressed with maybe some social anxiety. Just like me! See a therapist and get some medication. I've got about 30 pills I have to take but it really helps me out.  

  4. Step 1: Ensure your emotion is controlled daily. Don't over reacted, stay calm and don't get worry easily

    Step 2: Think before your action. Don't repeat her past experience on herself. Remind herself from time to time.

    Step 3: Be confident to yourselves. Remember everyone is the winner. "Only One sperms out of millions fertilize an egg"

    Step 4: Get a group of close friends to share your experience and get some activities that would occupied your time

    Step 5: Increase scope of life. Meaning that she should involve in more social activities like dancing, outing and others.

    Step 6: Put a rubberband on the wrist. If there is a negative thought, Tighten the rubber band and release it. Hence the effect of the pain would be able to reduce the possibility of negative thought.

  5. You sound depressed. Maybe you don't have anyone to open up to and tell your problems to. It usually helps you feel better when you can tell someone whats bothering you and they listen. It will also help them understand you better and you might not feel so alone.

  7. I think you are in a growing age of 15 to 19. All this is happening to you because of harmonal change in your body. Don't worry it will get away from you after some time.

    But meanwhile, whenever you feel depressed, listen to music that you like and try to admire good landscapes and other good photos that you have. This will make you feel good.

  9. This sounds like me so much. Its the same situation with my friends. this year im in year 11 and my whole group of friends that i've been with in school through year 7-10 are gone. they dropped out and all have boyfriends and jobs so i feel alone and its really hard at school, im usually alone and its awkward to talk to people im EXTREMELY shy and timid person.

    But, it really helps to think positive. i have all sorts of things i keep in mind everday. You have to think of what you have and also what you dont have and think: " will this really matter tomorrow, a month, or a year later?"

    Its not what you do in life that matters, its who you are.

    Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone and do not be troubled for the future for it is yet to come. Live in the present and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering.

    Theres nothing to be afraid of, its just life. No one is the same and they shouldn't be, everyone is unique in their own way.

    Never stop smiling because you never know who might be falling in love with it.
