What's wrong with me? Please look at details.?

I have this friend who I care about ALOT. And I mean A-LOT. I'd do anything for him. I'd protect him from anything. I think about him ALL the time. (The thoughts aren't sexual fyi) I can't help but smile whenever I see him. In school we meet after ever single class, AND before and after school. If anything were to happened to him, I don't know what I'd do. He is my BEST BEST BEST friend.

You kinda get the picture. But I'm not g*y, and neither is he. I'm not sure if a guy is supposed care about another guy this much. I know I'm not g*y. We both have girlfriends. What does this mean? Please help.

there is nothing wrong with caring for ur friend....ur just more in touch with ur feelings then most guys

You are not g*y, but you do sound a bit obsessed with your friend.  I used to feel that exact same way about a friend.  That was fine, until one day she stabbed me in the back, and I realized that I had her on a pedestal.  I would have done anything for her, and I literally called her "sister" and meant every word of it.  I think it is okay to like somebody a whole lot even to the point of loving them, but just realize that they are human.  They will make mistakes.  Make sure you make friends with others besides this guy b/c if something ever happened to this friendship, you want to make sure you have other friends to fall back on.

Just because your a guy it doesn't mean you can't have a really close best friend.

It doesn't make you g*y, it doesn't mean your a girl, it doesn't mean your weird, it just means you have a great best friend, that's important to you and you should be happy for that:)

ya it just means you care about him a lot, i am like that with my friends too,  you care alot about him because he is like a brother to you. don't be worried thats a good thing that you care about him alot, because real friends care about you alot

Justin it means you care about your best friend.  There is absolutely nothing wrong in caring for a person of your own s*x.  

A lot of people make friends at school and the bond between them grows stronger.  When they leave school they go their separate ways but that does not break the bond they have developed.

If he feels the same way about you then develop that friendship through good times and bad times. Both of you should treasure that friendship because times will come when you really need each other perhaps to share problems.

Friendship is based on mutual trust, honesty and respect one for the other.  Remember you are both human and you will both make mistakes but if the respect you have for each other is open and transparant your friendship will overcome them.  

Finally a word to both of you. Do not worry about what people say or think.  Be yourselves for who you are and what you are.

I've just seen your additional comments.  You want to know what that means.  It just means you love him and this does not have sexual overtones or connotations. There is so, so much more to love than having s*x.

I know people who are married and each have best friends other than the person to whom they are married.  This does not mean they love each other any the less - its just that the love they have for each other is expressed in a different way but is no less meaningful.  

You both have girl friends and the love that you have for those girls will be demonstrated in a different way to that each of you have for each other as male friends.
