I'm going to say this first bc everyone seems to want to comment on the boy avatar when I am a married WOMAN! This is my husbands account and I just made him a funny lil avatar ok? Now onto my Q. I havn't had a normal period since May. June, July and this month they were only 2-3 days long (I usually go 6-7 days) and recently I have been having lots of cramping, and pinching (like when you get a pelvic exam) and one night it was so bad I went to the ER. I was told I had a UTI and to get an ultrasound to rule out polysyctic ovarian disease, which I don't have according to the ultrasound results. I took a pregnancy test in June and it was negative so I know its not that. I don't have health insurance so I can't afford to go to the OB/GYN right now to get a full work up of tests, etc. so I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas of what else it could be? The scans of my ovaries were apparently clear so I know where are no cysts, tumors, etc. Also, and this may be TMI but, I want to know whats going on, during my last period it was real coppery colored, didn't smell like normal period blood (it smelled like amonia, like when you've been away all weekend and come home to a cat litter box with lots of pee in it i know thats a wierd analogy) and I passed a fairly large clot a lil smaller than a ping pong ball. They also gave me a preg. test at the ER last week that one was neg too so I know its not pregnancy. Any ideas?

  1. Just because there are no cysts on your ovaries doesn't mean it isn't PCOS.  You could have adendomyosis.  Which is basically endometriousis but it is in the uterus instead of outside the uterus.  good luck.

  2. whoa wow I actually read everythihng...sounds like a serious problem. My mother had the same exact problem except she didn't go get tested cuz she thought the pain went away. Well its been 2 years and she still hasn't felt that immense cramp kind of pain yet. Oh god I need to get her tested, it looks dangerous judging from what you said
