I have a pair of Greys that laid some eggs about 8 weeks ago but these were infertile so we removed them. They laid some more eggs about 4 weeks ago but we don't know yet if these are infertile. However, we have noticed that the hen is laying at a strange angle in her nest box. She usually lays on her eggs very straight but we have noticed that for the last few days (at least) her wings are straight when compared to her head but her tail, and back part of her body are laying to her left so it looks like her tail comes out from under her wing.
There has been no change to her diet and she is given fresh fruit and veg everyday with soaked sunflower seeds and pulses. She also gets daily additives and a calcium supplement.
Because we don't know if the eggs are fertile, we don't know whether to remove the hen or not.
We are looking for a local avian vet at the moment but wondered if anyone had any ideas what could but wrong with her.
