What's wrong with my Blackberry 8100?

Last night it was fine, I plugged it in to charge, and this morning it was off, I turned it on, and it seemed as if it was going to start, but then the hourglass of doom appeared and it shut its self off and the red light stayed on for about 5 sec. it continued to do this, and it won't stop unless I take out the battery. I have no idea whats wrong with it. I tried letting the battery die, but I after I charged it the same thing happened.

what is the last program  u installed  on the device?  try removing the last thing you added  thru the d/m  and  restart  your  berry.

I would suggest taking it up to your service provider and have them take a look at it..I had a similar problem and I spent days trying to fix it, and when I went to the phone store they fixed it in like 5 minutes
