What's wrong with my PS3?

Whenever I hook up my PS3 to my friends TV the TV will buzz and the screen is in black and white. We have plugged other systems in the same ports but they all work normal. When we bring it to his other TV it works fine. Does the TV just hate the PS3 or is there something wrong?

If at your house your ps3 was on HD, or hooked up with an hdmi cable outputting 720p, 1080u or 1080p, then you have to reset the displaye setting of the ps3 to run on regular Standard definition or 480i, if i'm not mistaken. You can do this by restarting the ps3 - press the power button for around 10 seconds till you hear it beep twice. This should restore it to its original settings.

What could have happened is that you have a faulty video/audio cord on your hands.

There is most likely something wrong with the compatibility with the ports on his tv. Why there would be i wouldn't know.
