Question:

What's wrong with my TV?!?

Ok, so we're out here at the lake and our TV just went haywire on us - everything was going fine but then it would just "shut off". After banging it a couple times, the picture would be restored, but it would shut off again. We thought it was a loose wire so we played around with it (took apart the TV) and now we have picture, but there's white lines across the screen and the picture is really bright. It has nothing to do with brightness/contrast etc. settings, and there is still sound. It's an Insignia TV and it's only 2-3 years old...

Is there a certain wire/part that we can mess around with to fix it? We are in the middle of nowhere so we can't really just run to the store...

Any help would be much appreciated!!!

  1. Call a repair man/woman

  2. take the red wire and take out and the tv will be fixed

  3. My husband says it's probably the picture tube.  When you were banging it around it may have knocked loose.  The picture tube is usually as expensive as some tvs and almost impossible to fix.  They're very sensitive.  I used to bang on our tv and my husband would yell, "what are you doing???"  I learned the hard way.  I hope I'm not right and you get your tv working again.

  4. Its a sign to stop watching television

  5. I think its because your on the lake. Do you live there or is it a trip

  6. Nothing.
