What's wrong with my bearded dragon?????

my juvenile bearded dragon looks all depressed and stuff and always sits in the corner with her eyes closed. And its a forty gallon tank. she's been eating fine and the temperature is fine in her tank. she's shedding too if that helps at all...i just dont know whats wrong with her!!!

she also attacks the side of the glass.

  1. This is not normal for a juvenile.  Check your temps...basking should be about 100F.  Too hot or too cold and she won't bask.  Do you have a UVB reptile light??  Is it within 12 inches of the basking spot?  What is your substrate?  Sand or other loose material can cause impaction.

    Has she been to a vet yet to have a stool sample checked?  Parasites are a huge problem with beardies.  

    Keep her misted and give her a bath/soak twice a week while shedding.  


  2. try finding her a nice male but make sure there are two or more hideaways because they may get a little teritorial so just do that and that might prep her up also try handling her more it sounds like shes board aand ya attaking the glass or plastic is normal

  3. Is your beardie getting enough heat, and proper lighting? Attacking the glass is normal. They can either see their reflection or they are excited by something they can see outside of the tank.
