It used to be all red from the tip of it's tail to the tip of it's nose, but now it has clear tips on his tail and it's getting thicker. Does anyone know what's doing this?

    i hope this helps

  2. it might be an infection. try buying those cleaning water things for fishes at like petco or petmart. also clean your fish tank/bowl. emptying the water out and adding new one still contain bacterias on the side.  so get a cloth or sponge to clean the sides. keep your tank/bowl nice and warm so your betta will have a comfortable spot to heal

  3. This is probably the beginning of fin rot.  The bacteria basically destroy the fins until they are stopped, which will require warm, clean water and probably antibiotics (Maracyn TC, Triple Sulfa, Trisulfa, Furan 2, Maracyn 2, Kanaplex, etc.).
