I can turn it on but when I press the shutter button to take a picture it just turns off with no warning and the lens thingy doesnt even go back in. Can you tell me what's wrong, and if I can fix it at home or do I have to take it back again.

I've had 2 camera in 3 days b/c this happened to my last one and it was the same kind.

  1. wow, sanyo is a really bad camera company dont get me wrong or anything its good but they have a lot of problems i also owned a sanyo  and it did the same but turns out it was because i pressed the shutter button too hard so idk? but have you tought maybe it's not charged? but when it happend to mines it would only do it sometimes and i droped it when i was mad and it never did it again but i dont recomend you drop your lol i just have a bad temper, but you should go to the store and get it change for another

ps. sanyo's arn't really that great cameras try sony or cannon or olympus there the best!

  2. I wouldn't even try to fix it yourself at home, attempting to service the camera on your own voids all the warranties, the store may not even take it back if they know you were the one who tried to fix it, they might assume you were the one who made it worse. Take it back as soon as you can and then figure out the rest.

  3. Try this. Take the batteries out for 10 minutes. Push and hold the power button for 10 seconds. Then put fully charged batteries back on the camera. If this works you will know by having to reset the time/date. If it doesnt fix the problem, you will need to get it repaired if its under warranty or just buy a new one if not. The cost of the repair probably is more than a new camera. Make sure that you have good strong batteries
