What's wrong with my debit card?

I went to just by about $3 worth of items at two different McDonalds and my card didn't work at either of them. The expiration date isn't until next year, I have plenty of money on the account, the strip on the back isn't damaged at all, and I checked my bank's website and everything seems fine. Could it just be McDonalds' system?

Yes it could be there card system, since you have to swipe instead of manually punching the numbers in.

It could be McDonalds. Go to a gas station and buy something and see if it works. If it doesn't call up your bank and ask them why

probably a network problem - either the bank or McDonalds

It could be there system....sometimes the strip on the back gets worn, or de-magnetized and you don't realize it...a trick to check it is to put a plastic bag over the card and run it thru the machine with the bag snugly around it...contact you bank and tell them, they'll issue you a new one.
