  1. Greenish diarrhea is a BAAADDDD thing!  Having diarrhea for a day and not eating for a day is a really bad thing and can kill a young animal.  GO TO THE VET!

PS:  I don't think the ham had anything to do with this.  You've given her table scraps before, right?

  2. Well, we can't determine that. She needs to see a vet as soon as possible.

  3. The best thing to do in an emergency is go to the vet ASAP.

  4. you won't know til you talk to a vet

  5. Take her to the vet instead of lying around on your computer!!!!!!!!!!

  6. You need to call a vet.  We really can't diagnose her for you, sorry!

  7. Pork is awful for Dogs/Puppies. You really don't want to feed your animals table foods. There tummies are more sensitive then ours and you don't no what type of allergies to foods that your animal might have. I would immediately take your dog to the vet.Good luck

  8. mayonnaise is a dairy product and dogs are lactose intolerant.ham is very salty and is hard on thier kidneys... wondering if this could have anything to do with that...something to think about

  9. I had a similar incident.  Apparently PORK is horrible for dogs, they just can't digest it well.  The dog just has to get it out of it's system, so she will probably not feel well for a few days....just let it run it's course, and she should be fine in a couple of days. She probably won't want to eat much either which is ok, because she is trying to clean her system out.

  10. If your dog’s energy level is normal, she is still eating breakfast, and she is not showing signs of severe GI distress, such as constant vomiting or diarrhea, I think you’re safe to wait and watch.

Here are a couple of possible explanations:

*Is she a young dog, between six-months and two-years old? Sometimes a young dog will show a dramatic shift after eating foods that are foreign to them

    * She could have simply had a poor reaction the food or the food triggered an already upset stomach.

Keep monitoring her for signs she’s not feeling well, and start offering her a little more food for breakfast. Continue to offer her dinner and fresh water as usual. If she doesn’t eat within a half hour, throw the food away—-kibble sours quickly when it’s moistened with water. If she continues to act sick, call your vet to schedule a checkup.

Whatever you do, don’t "tempt" her to eat more with treats, table food, or new kinds of dog food—at best, this will train her to be finicky, and at worst, it could cause additional vomiting and diarrhea.

As for diarrhea after table food—this is normal dog behavior. However, I’d discourage her from eating table food as its simply too difficult for their systems to process.

I don't think it makes you a bad dog owner to not have raced to the vet at the first sign of diarrhea.  Good luck with your dog!

  11. All I know for sure is, with humans, green is fine for p**p. Since it's diarrhea, I think you should see a vet.

  12. If you really cared about your dog, you would have taken her to the vet ASAP.

  13. take her to the vet.
