I got in front of a thing that my mom has in our hallway (that has at least 100 words).. I took 10 steps back and I couldn't read it (I know I have eye problems since like yesterday or 5th grade.. I'm in 6th now) but what's it called or something?

  1. Not being able to read a document with 100+ words from 20' away in not uncommon.  If you have trouble reading at a distance it's called Nearsightedness (Myopia).

  2. It's called 'you need glasses'.

Get your mom to take you to an optometrist and have your eyes checked.

Once you have your prescription, check out www.zennioptical for glasses. They have a very good selection and are very inexpensive. Their single vision frames with lenses start at $8 for a complete pair, and they're not cheapie or lousy.

If you think you'll do this, have the doc put your PD on the prescription. It's how far apart your pupils are and they need that for the glasses.

You place an order on line and I think it goes to China, where they're made. Then they're shipped to the US in bulk and then shipped out from Seattle. I've bought several pairs, for myself and my kids. They usually come in less about 10 days to 2 weeks.

(By the way, I do not work for them and have no interest in their business. I'm just a satisfied customer)

    Good luck.
