  1. 8 thats a very solid team

  2. First off let me say that you should NOT have 3 guys on your team going for Holds.  They dont happen consistently enough for you to be using so much team space on them.  I'd drop a holds guy and pick up another starter.  There also isnt much reason in fantasy baseball to have bench players for offense.  Its nice to have a back up for someone who is prone to injury, but in reality pretty much everyone plays on the same days and you dont get nearly as much opportunity to sub players.  Are Ibanez and Werth really doing anything for you?  I'd drop atleast 1 of them and pick another closer.  You may need to trade one of your better pitchers to pull a better bat.  I can see that you probably are fairly weak in the power categories such as HR and RBI.   You have Utley who is obviously great, but he's the only player with consistent power on your entire team and thats a problem.  Ramirez is a power hitter but he's down this year and not putting up his usual numbers.

  3. What are the settings on your league?

    H2H or Roto

    5x5?  6x6?

    How many teams.

If H2H, what categories are you losing in.  That usually explains where you are lacking.

If you are always losing in saves because Ryan and Papelbon aren't enough, then you need to trade for a closer or trade them away.  If you are going to lose a category, lose it big and use that to gain in other areas.

  4. I agree, you need to look at where you are losing and fix that. Your pitchin is, well, not great. If you have JP Howell starting, then you really are in trouble. The rest is just suspect to the whim of the baseball gods. I think I'd be strating Mr. Ibanez. He's a good hitter and gets you some hits and RBI's

  5. I think it's lack of power.  Remember in fantasy baseball, a home run counts for more than anything else.  You don't have a lot of power guys on your roster which means, your home runs will suffer, along with your RBI's, slugging, and maybe hits, and average.   It might be to late now but for next time, The home run hitters will usually score you more points.
