What's wrong with my friend's tooth?

Okay, so, my friend. She told me :

In her bottom set of upper last tooth, she seems to have a new tooth growing there, but for some reason a puffy round thing appeared on the tooth, or as she said, but she doesn't know what it is. When she uses her top set of tooth to touch that tooth with the swelling on it, It feels really weird, like a huge pimple. What is it?

Please help her! I need the answer as soon as possible! =]].
