Just sleeping and he's fur had lost it's shine and lost hair on the belly and hind legs. And i notice that he's belly's really round, like he can barely move too much with it. I am sure his a male and he came no contect with another hamster for a few month. What's happening to him???

  1. Well, my hamster started sleeping one day and it turned out that he was hibernating, which is really bad, so he died.  It doesn't sound like that's whats wrong with yours though.  TAKE IT TO THE VET.  It probably has some disease, and it sounds like it is going to die, sorry about your buddy.  Good Luck!

  2. It Sounds somthing like a tumor.....

  3. Something similar happened to my hamster.  He lost all the fur on his belly, and the skin there started to feel kind of sticky.  Then it got rather scaly feeling and he just slept in the corner all the time, which was unusual.  He usually slept in his little house.  All of a sudden, his belly turned black, and I convinced my parents to take him to the vet.  It turns out he had Gangrene inside of him, and we had to put him to sleep.

(He was not in any pain, though)

Sorry to be so morbid, but this is just what happened to mine.

  4. Aww it will cost more to go to a vet to see and he might have wet tail so sry if he dies :(

  5. Don't ever spray your hamster with flea spray.  The chemicals in those things are NOT safe for your hamster.  Most of those sprays that are designed for hamsters are dangerous as well.

Any time your hamster is scratching a lot a trip to the vet is in order as it may be a skin infection, possibly mange, or you may have mites or ringworm etc in the cage which must be cleaned out and disinfected with bleach.

When a hamster loses fur on any part of his body a trip to the vet is necessary.  Your hamster may have a tumor if his belly is rounded.

Either way, take him to the vet.  He needs to be looked at.

Don't spray the cage with anything like that period.  If you are concerned about fleas change the bedding and disinfect the cage with bleach.

  6. You shouldnt be spraying flea spray on a hamster, its lungs are so tiny and can damage them. It sounds like it is bloated either through the spray or its diet. What are you feeding him, you always must stick to a hamster diet and never feed him cheese or foods we eat. You must take him to the vet to have him check him out. How did you spray the hamster, it is way too small to spray. The pet shop should of told you this.

  7. oh gosh im so sorry about that.

My best suggestion is to take to the Vet ASAP!

umm you shouldn't use the flea spray on you hamster thats probably why its losing hair.

    i hope i helped.

  8. aww poor hamster.. i hope it gets better.. meanwhile make sure it doesnt look see and ESPECIALLY hear miley cyrus

  9. take him to the vet.
