What's wrong with my iPod Nano?

A few days ago my menu button stopped working.

Then a few hours ago I put new songs on it and when i tried to listen to them the songs wouldn't play. This happened to me before but i just upgraded the software and it worked again. So I tried doing this but once i chose a song my whole iPod froze. Now its frozen on a playlist but the blacklight is still on and its been this way for a few hours. I can't reset it b/c the menu button is broken. Also, when i tried plugging it into the computer again, iTunes didn't read it but the noise when you connected it sounded. What should I do?

Try Pressing the Center Button and the Menu Button  Down at the same time, until the apple logo appears on ur ipod. This should reset it (nothign will be lost)

If that doesn't work, take it into the apple store. They always fix it or give u a new one.

my ipod has done this before, a few times actually. i normally just leave it over night for as many hours as possible until it unfreezes which takes a few hours. then when it unfreezes it normally only needs to be charged then it works again.
