My internet cable is into my router. I have 2 pc's connected to that router and on one of them the internet works. ON THE OTHER ONE, it says "Local area 2 is now connected" so there's no problem with the cable. But when i right click "status", there are no bytes received, and there are very few sent. When I press "repair", that action could not be completed, please contact your internet provider etc :/ I've checked if it is a hardware problem, but in Device Manager the network adapter appears to be going on well.....SO that PC does not want internet :( how can I fix it? Please guide me through.

  1. I don't think power cycling your modem will work since on computer connects, buts it's worth a try I guess.  My guess would be either network settings or your nic card is bad.

  2. Hello

You connect the router to use the network, you need to check the router's settings are correct,

If correct, it may be because the network connection problems

  3. I recommend that you shut down all router and modem for 10-30 seconds. Then start it up again.

Then on your PC, go to ''Connect to''

disconnect from your current modem or router.

    Wait 10-20 more seconds

Then go back to ''Connect to'' and connect back to your modem or router.

Hopefully, this will solve your connection problem.

It sorta happen to my laptop all the time.
