What's wrong with my knee?

I think I messed it up during football.

Symptoms: limited running, limited jumping, weak, gives out, no balance, sensitive to contact, pain when extending leg/standing up, pops/cracks

I am 15, about 5'10", 185-190

I've been to the doctors a couple of times and had an xray taken of my knee and they said there isn't anything wrong with my bones

  1. um...ow. Maybe you should try a brace and stay off it as much as possible. that'll take care of it in most cases.

  2. Try this.  Sit down in a chair and attempt to straighten the injured knee.  If your pain intensifies once getting to the point of almost hyper extending it there is a high probability that you have injured your ACL.  It is one of the most common sports knee related injuries.  Do some research on injured acl's and see if those symptoms fits your own.  This also might be something you should ask your doctor.   Good look.  Keep in mind RICE Rest Ice Compression Elevation....
