I have a new saltwater aquarium with crushed coral and live sand on the bottom. The temp is just right and the specific gravity is good. I have no put any fish in it yet because I am waiting for it to cycle. My live sand which is a light tan color is turning brown in spots? What is wrong and how can I fix this?

  1. There is nothing wrong.  Your bacteria are growing as they should be.  You should do research on the nitrogen cycle if you haven't already and also start testing for ammonia, nitrites, and nitrats in your tank so you know when the cycling process is complete.
