Question:

What's wrong with my memory stick?

Usually, when I plug it in the little green light comes up on it straight away, but recently it's not coming up and I have to fiddle with it to get it to turn on. I don't think there's anything wrong with my USB plugs on the computer because my iPod wire works fine.

And also, how can I stop PhotoImpression coming up each time I plug ANYTHING into the USB?

  2. That could just be a problem with your USB stick. We are not sure when the USB will be damage. anyway, for your second question, just disable the Autorun function. It opens because PhotoImpress detects images in your USB stick. To disable Autorun, follow the steps in the link below:

  3. The line might be slightly frayed or sharred underneath the insulation.

  4. Memory sticks just fail, for 101 different reasons.

Therefore, they are really not suitable for long-term storage of data. Yes, I know we all do just that (myself included).

While you still can, copy the data from the stick to a disc as a matter of urgency.
