Hii.

Okay so my mom's eye's been bugging her for a whileee now..

She says it feels like a veil is coming in front of her eye, and it goes, and comes, goes, and comes. Her vision gets blurry, and she can't really see. Its her left eye. Her appointment with the doctor is in about two weeks, and its not gonna be any sooner, she's talked to them, and apparently they can't help her sooner since its "not an Emergencey"

Do you guys know what could be wrong with her eye, and how to help it??

Thank youuu!

  1. You can go to the ER,but it may be Dry Eye or Floaters. I get those and i just get eye drops from the Doctor and it helps..

  2. she should keep it closed most of the time so it wont hurt or anything or maybe theres something in her eye! blow it out

  3. Sounds like it could be a cataract.  People describe it as looking through a veil or through water.  It is not an emergency, and is easily corrected by a simple surgery.  She'll be home that day.  Most everyone gets them as we age.  Common ages 50+, but sometimes younger.

  4. It sounds like an emergency to me...if the Doc won't see her for two weeks go to the ER at the hospital.

  5.   A veil or curtain is a sign of possible retinal detachment. She should have seen someone back months ago.  If it is a retinal detachment it may be too late to try to reattach.  If it were me I would find a different doctor or go to the ER to be seen ASAP

  6. If she can't see well out of her eye she should go to an optometrist right away..if she has pain she could go to the emergency room or immediate care center. Or tell her doctor she can not see out of that eye.  It could be glaucoma, a detachment. Just make sure she goes to somebody.

  7. Could be what I heard was called Floaters. Here's a link to some information.
