I got another parakeet today from my friend who is moving and can't keep it. It's pretty old, it's about 11, but somethings wrong with its feet! They are both shaped VERY weird, and one of them started bleeding when she was fluttering around. What is it and what should I do?

  1. The budgie is most likely suffering from old age, but you should bring it to a vet to make sure it doesnt have a disease. To help the bird, lower the perches in the cage and put a towel on the bottom in top of the grating so it doesnt have to stand on bars all the time. Also, to stop the bleeding, just put a little cornstarch on the cut. It works wonders.
