What's wrong with my society finch?

I have a society finch that looks as though she is under the weather. I don't really know how long I have had her so therefore she is at least three years old. I had her with a cage mate that was also a society but he died about a year ago. She is not flying very well lately and prefers it on the bottom of the cage where she can huddle in somewhat of a ball. I haven't noticed any symptoms of sickness at all until I walked into my room this afternoon and couldn't see her on a perch. Is she sick? If so, what do I need to do to help her?

  1. Yes she is sick. There probably isn't anything you can do for her other then keep the air in the room warm for her. Trying to pick her up will stress her out too so don't pick her up. She is probably going to passaway because birds only show illnesses when it's too late. So prepare your heart and know getting another pair would be in memory of those who have passed away, not merely take their places.

  2. She is very sick (you know that because she's acting sick), and what you need to do is take her to an avian vet, and keep her warm until you get there.
