  1. If you feel like participating in a senseless sharade they call elections then you're a true American and representative of democracy. If you feel like choosing between coke and pepsi and think you made a difference then you're a hero. If you feel like giving your opinion where there is no true space for opinion then you're a good citizen. If you feel like voting and live the same thing you've been living the past 4 years for the next 4 years then God Bless your soul.

If you DONT feel like doing this, then you're an insensitive ignorant unpatriotic person who doesn't feel the need to have an impact on his country.

  2. don't ***** about taxes or the way the gov't is going

    you should've used your vote

  3. I think it is a perfectly legitimate way to say that you do not support the current system.

If everyone took this stance rather than vote for the "lesser of two evils", then this would send a strong and clear message to our politicians.

Of course, there would be disagreement among on why we didn't vote and what direction we should take afterwards.

I do see a problem with "I just don't feel like it" attitude rather than delving into and exploring your political ideology.

  4. if you wanna REALLY show youre point of shunning the current govt, go to vote and check "refuse your ballot" on the ballot. that shows them better than just NOT voting...

as for whats wrong with not voting, just think how lucky you are the even be able to vote. its a privilage, not a right - just look at all the countries where people have NO say in their governement.

  5. Nothing is wrong with it, but if you DON'T vote then you shouldn't  complain about who wins.

  6. Nothing.  There are many "uneducated" casted votes.  (meaning that the person doesn't do their homework on the candidates before making a decision.)  I would much rather have those voters stay home.

  7. So don't.  It's not likely someone with this attitude would make an informed decision anyway.

It really does matter what party is in power though.  The policies affect us in every part of our lives.  Lives lost or ruined in wars, whether or not we can afford to put gas in our cars or food on the table, health insurance, education, etc.

So for those of you who read this and don't bother to find out for yourselves what's going on, please don't vote.

  8. We as a citizen  need to exercise our franchise regularly. We need

to bring the right man to power  and choose the right government

to take care of our needs and demands. By not voting a wrong

person may come to power and our needs may go unfulfilled. There

may be disasters, riots ,injustice, violation of rules, killings, poverty,

epidemics and the entire country may be retrocracing in terms of'

development.Enemy countries like PAKISTAN, CHINA may encroach

our land area and there may be a situation of emergency or one man rule(anarchy).

  9. Nothing could be more negative. People who don't vote are just as responsible for the wrong people being elected as those that do vote for them. Not voting because you don't feel like it is an appalling lack of responsibility.
