Racism, sexism, high divorce rates, lack of proper education, religious hatred (between religions), the music and media industry (putting out sub-par entertainment), etc,. etc,.

People don't feel loved enough, and everyone's struggling to get love in the best ways they can.  These ways might not work, but they don't know that.  They can't see their own histories enough to see the choices they're making based upon them.  And, that's keeping them blind to the moments as they come, stopping them from seeing that their attempts at getting love are failing.

But, I honestly believe we're getting there though.  'There' might not be where you think it is, educate and married, etc., but it will be peaceful, it'll be real.  Too many people are seeking, and ideas are spreading fast.  We're in the storm before the calm.  Old habits really do die hard.  And, if you think these are all new habits, you're mistaken.  The biggest difference is the speed in which we hear all the bad news.

Too much excess, too much looking the other way and minding our business, too many parents thinking it's ok to let their kids "find themselves" without any direction...

Society is corrupt because no one knows the rules anymore let alone play them...  

I overheard a child on the bus...  he hit another child because she wouldn't stop looking at him...  his mothers response?  Good boy, don't take that c r a p from anyone, you show them you mean business --- and she wagged her fists....

We are human. we are all unique and think differently. Sub par entertainment is what kids buy nowadays and the corporate CEO's know this. I would say be happy that we are not perfect and realize that if you are in fact black that your life would have been a h**l of a lot worse about 50 years ago. The only places in the world that are "perfect" are the ones that dictators make by killing all of the opposition in their way. so be happy with what you have.

-a 7th grader from my old middle school committed suicide last week and no one even cares

- freshman r getting hazed in the locker rooms

- ppl r getting bullied all the time

and im only 16 but ive lost my faith in humanity :(

Nothing more than has been wrong, in varying degrees and details, throughout the centuries. Was it Aristotle or Socrates (?) that complained about juvenile delinquents! The only thing that has really changed is technology.  We've certainly got more of that.  But the interesting, and to some distressing, thing is that mankind, or if you prefer humankind, doesn't seem to be improving--after thousands of years!!!-- as to quality, morals, ethics, benevolence, etc.

The root of all evil, money.  and people are willing to do anything now to get it.  it is viewed as a must have, got to get it now thing. young children are indoctrinated into this culture of greed through  videos and TV shows that show excess as a good thing. (think of the MTV show called sweet 16, that was crazy)  nobody wants to actually work to get anything, so musicians take past hit songs, sample the music, and through some half naked women in, make a video and they are a hit.  TV is all "reality" shows, however I don't know what reality they live in.  traditional roles are reversed, women are willing to take care of "their man" and teenagers tell he parents what to do. (bad part is the parents actually listen and do it)

It's all about money, and making lots of it, no mater what you have to do

I've been asking myself that everyday for the last few days. And it's just really society is losing it's moral. People don't care about people. Here in Houston they're rear-ending people and then shooting them when they get out of their car. And people are sticking HIV positive needles under gas pumps. It's like slowly but surely the human race is being picked off one by one. The divorce rates come from no one understanding what love means. People getting engaged and married within a year of evening knowing each other.Being a pregnant 14 year old is now common. How sick is that? As far as the sub-par entertainment goes, no one really values talent anymore. Every T.V. show is popping out a pre-made pop star for mindless zombies to follow. It's not so much a lack of proper education more so kids are dropping out. Kudos to those who stay in or go back but yeah they're dropping out quick. As for racism, sexism, and religion I don't even want to touch on those subjects. Heh.

I wish I could answer this one.......then help solve the worlds problem. You are correct! It seems as if society is getting worse by the minute. Economy is horrible too. I now spend 100.00 is gas a week and havent had a raise at work for over 2 years. Milk is over 4 bucks a gallon. Its just getting worse! If you do find the answer to this ....clue me in to, would ya?

Many things are wrong with our society, including our own government. Homeless people are increasing by the moment. I'm pretty sure that America's homeless rate is greater than any other country's. There's also so much freedom we have. We never think about it, but we have a lot of freedom. We can buy anything we want from the grocery store, we can make our own religions of we wanted to ("freedom of religion" from the constitution"), create our own groups, and even the right to revolt or protest agianst our government. In other countries, they would get shot if they protested agianst their government. You have more freedom than you realize. Use it well.
