  1. it is easier to say what isn't wrong with it.

  2. Nothing at all. Jesus was a communist and he was ok.

  3. They kill people and oppress others. Most people there live in poverty and the Communist party leaders live in luxury.

  4. It's really more totalitarianism than communist.  Attempts at communism always devolve into totalitarianism.  You just can't get around that pesky human nature thing.

(Are listening Obama?  Communism never works.)

Thumbs down?  Name one attempt at communism that didn't go horribly wrong.  And, if you don't think Obama is a closet Marxist, you haven't listened to a word he's said about wealth redistribution.  What do you think communism is?

    For P.O.V.

    Sweden is a parliamentary democracy

    Finland is a democracy

Denmark is a constitutional monarchy with a representative democracy

What in the world are you talking about?

  5. dude, look up the history of communism...........

  6. Aside from the fact they still think running over a bunch of teenagers with tanks was justified and their happiness to see the burmese kill their monks?  I guess forcing prisoners to do their manufacturing work, one child, religious persecution to name just 3 things.

  7. The people lack free speech.

  8. Criticizing or being against the government isn't tolerated in China.

  9. Hahaha There are entire books dedicated to this and you expect it to be answered here?

  10. Many things especially corruption in the local governments but when someone brings about torture and killings...isn't UK/Europe and US the same thing? Are they more hypocrites and believes in pack journalism?

China is neither Fascist nor authoritarian nor communist nor dictatorship but it's an economic system, not a political system and China is the exact opposite of communism which is capitalism. Even Henry Kissinger acknowledges China is communist in name only along with many others. Companies like IBM, HP are taking advantage of their capitalistic system.

Second, President Hu is NOT A DICTATOR. A dictator is a totalitarian leader, mostly self appointed. The people in China are free to move, free to travel in and out of the country, free to find new jobs, free to buy any consumer item they want, free to get stinking filthy rich, something that totalitarian dictators do not allow. Further, your president is elected by your legislative system, much like what happens in many western countries.

  11. Their human rights record is atrocious. One thing happens in any totalitarian government: Their punishments and rules are usually Draconian, in order to keep tight control over their people. Their control of every facet of life must be absolute, with the opportunity for redress of grievances slim to none. This is certainly the case in China.

  12. They brainwash their people unlike her in the good ol' USA (911 911 911 911 911 911 911 911 911 911 911 911 911)

And in response to gcason you obviously have never been to Sweden or Finland or Denmark

  13. Lots of stuff. I heard they're sensoring things online now in China, I'm quite glad my parents immigrated here now :]

  14. There is nothing wrong with it. Communism is simply a different form of government.
