What's wrong with the inside of my mouth?

I have a soar on the right side of my mouth on the inside of my cheek area. What could this soar be, how did I get it, and how can I treat it? I'm a smoker too, but I don't think it's anything bad.

  1. What kind of sore? It it white? Is it swollen? Is it painful? I could guess it's a canker sore, I get them all the time. Canker sores and cold sores are both herpetic viruses. Just mouth ulcers. Extremely common and you don't have to do anything to bring them on. Cheek area sores can often be caused by you biting it as well. I can give you a better answer if you give me some more details. Sorry though, no matter what kind it ends up being, mouth sores suck.

  2. If its white then its probably canker sore, not sure the exact spelling. Its just caused by it being sore, or a small cut there or something. It hurts to eat, but it'll go away on its own!
