Almost all of it is diseased and moldy as it sits on the shelf waiting to be sold.

Is the tropics not a good place to grow produce?

Why are they importing so much of it from California?

Is there a local produce farmer's market in Ponce?

  1. It was fine in rincon on the west coast

  2. I'm sure that it is due in part to the fact that fresh water is a precious commodity in the Caribbean.  A little bit  of quality is sacrificed to have it grown at all.  As far a salmon goes, it it a cold water fish.  I'm not going to go there for cold water.

  3. even though a state territory big business still treats puerto rico as a third world country and continues to use pesticides that have been proven harmfull to the point of a genetic level of all living things and is not used in the US anymore. Just look for the cracked egg shells with ddt
