What's wrong with the word r****d being used in Tropic Thunder?

r****d means "slow" and if you say, "he is a little slow" people don't get offended. When is everyone realize that a word is not offensive, it is the context it is used in

nothing is wrong with the word r****d... and r****d dosent mean slow...it means that you are mental...

It is an Offensive term...but doesn't it seem as though everything anyone says Nowadays is offensive to SOMEONE!? There are VERY few things anyone can say in this day and age without stepping on SOMEONES TOES...I say people need to toughen up and STOP being so easily offended..good grief live life and enjoy it, stop LOOKING to be offended.

BTW..I will go see Tropic Thunder, I have read reviews that say it is hilarious...
