Every time i talk to my friend he always says there's something wrong with his computer. like his sound doesn't work, his msn is malfunctioning, when he plugs the computer to his tv for sound his tv stops working, his usb ports stopped working, his monitor exploded, his tower started glowing from the inside (like electricity glowing), computer pieces keep blowing up. but the problem is that he doesn't download p**n or anything, i checked everything. all he ever does is go to gamespot.com and a few other game sites but that's about it. i keep trying to fix it but like these impossible things keep happening all the time, is it viruses or is it plain bad luck. the computer isn't that old, it's only a year old.

  1. I guess it can be caused by his graphic card, try to ose your VGA on his system and then connect to TV, maybe it works...

  2. Is it a laptop? How does he use it. Does he store it under direct sunlight.

I have noticed that certain computer brands tend to have more problems than others. I build my own computers with parts from diferent manufactures. And when I buy a cheap part, is more likely to have problems, that is if it even works after installation.

They are starting to cell sell some chinese computer brands at wallmart that are going to be plagued with problems. But they are priced very cheap.

Never forget, you get what you pay for.

  3. I'm guessing he's running an AMD processor...  Nothing wrong with AMD, it's the crappy motherboards used by manufacturers who use AMD...

Things like you are describing are not due to viruses, just bad hardware, (maybe a power supply that is out of spec.) and the fact that he's most likely running windows.

  4. it is a piece of ****

  5. Yep, cheap hardware.  Not something easily fixed without basically replacing the internal components.  Might be cheaper to buy a decent spec'd computer.  I generally find that Intel stuff is pretty good.  You say he mainly goes to games sites etc.  Most hard core modern games requre a op spec PC and it is likely the board and processor just isnt up to the task.  If things are glowing inside the case they definately arent up to the task.

Time for a new PC.  Even if he has to buy second hand, just get something with decent components
