  1. Besides addressing your "intitial bid" (which should be higher), your ad could use a little more pizazz.

Start with the visual. The clothes that you are selling in the ad are not very easy to discern. Make them distinguishable with close-up shots or shots taken outside. Sometimes even handing an item on a tree branch can look fantastic. Make sure though your camera's eye doesn't pick up any weird background sightings (mailman, traffic, asphalt, etc.).  There are some free photography courses (like Hewlett-Packard) on line that can help you get better with the basics. Remember, most things on ebay are sold through a visual lust factor; need ranks after that.

In general your ad lacks professionalism.  You've used large print throughout the ad. Reserve the larger font for Titles and Subtitles. Then give them a more discernable look through different colors. Try centering your copy. That might help to clean up your ad.

Also, it might help you to study some of the techniques that power sellers have used in their own ads.

Finally, if you google EBAY ad presentation - tips & techniques, you will come up with several articles on the topic.  Best wishes!

  2. You failed to set an initial reserve limitation on your offering so that no bids can be accepted below your minimum acceptable bid.

    Good Luck!

  3. The only thing I can think of is that your items are not in demand, or are listed in the wrong location.

If you want a better bid, there are options on e-bay to set a hidden reserve price, and if that bid isn't met, the item will not be sold. And there are other similar options.....

If you want more info, or if you want to try to make better sales, I suggest you read this book. It's really useful, and I use it alot:   (it has SO much info I never knew in it....!!!)

Good Luck with your auctions!! :-)

  4. you should put a reserve on the items, if the price doesnt get to what you want dont sell it.

  5. If you didn't start it at a higher price and the first bidder, bid .99 and no one else bid than they won it for .99, that is just a chance you take if you don't start the bidding higher or put a reserve.  Your other listing look great except for the underwear, it may be a little to high.  Hope this helps, if I can help you at all just email me.
