  1. I'm English, Mexican, and Italian, one of a kind, I tell ya >.>

  2. I am German and Bohemian. Even though I'm only 1/4 Bohemian, I identify much more with my Bohemian heritage.

  3. German/Russian/Lithuanian

  4. I'm 1/4 Hungarian

and 3/4 Italian. I love that I'm Hungarian because how many Hungarians do you know? Not too many, right? I mean, being Italian's nice, but everyone I meet is some part Italian it seems.

  5. I'm like 80% German lol

    But I'm also Cherokee indian

    Japanese

    Dutch

    Irish

    and Scottish

  6. Guess I'm Italian and Spanish!

  7. No flippin way!  My cousin's last name is Schoen!  He pronounces it shane too, and gets really mad when they say shone or something else.  That's awesome.

Anyway... that said... I'm like 99.9999% German.

  8. 100% Native American. My Dh husband is 100% Egyptian so my children are half Native, half Egyptian.

  9. English, German, Irish and a great grandmother born in Calcutta who I don't know much about.

    I'm happy with the mix.

  10. I am Senegalese, Angolan, Namibian, French, Dutch, English. That's wha being MGM African American is all about.

  11. moms side french dutch German Irish Scottish and native American dads side Scottish English Irish Scandinavian

  12. 100% Greek..

  13. I have a lot of German and Irish in me. I'm also English, French, and a little bit of Native American. Hard to tell though because I'm so white.

  14. I've been working on my genealogy for over 15 years. I'm mostly descended from the colonial immigrants before the American Revolution. Some lines in my family tree seem to "mysteriously" come to "dead ends" while others go very far back and include the royal blood lines of Europe and the Romans.

My list includes EVERYTHING that I know of (or infer); If we go by "national" identities I'm:

    English

    Scottish

    Scots-Irish

    Irish

    Italian

    Barbary-Arab

Native American: (in different lines descended from the Coree, Tuscarora, and maybe others)

    French

German (some from Prussia-so, maybe some Polish admixture)

    Welsh

    Dutch

    Swiss

    Danish

    Spanish

    Greek???

I asked my paternal grandmother when I was 9 years-old where our ancestors came from to which she indicated that she was Italian and that my grandfather was Scots-Irish with a little German. As it later turned out, she wasn't completely Italian (and my grandfather was mostly English and Scots-Irish), but I grew up with what I call "an Italian state of mind;" for most of my life I identified, personally, with Italian heritage. In actuality I'm probably mostly Scottish and English with everything else taking up smaller varying percentages of my background.

There are positives and negatives about every nation/culture's heritage and history so I'm not sure I can say that I prefer one over the other, although I do like the fact that my dad's side includes features such as olive skin; even though I'm fairly "white" I can get very brown if I tan properly.

I guess I'd have to say that I most enjoy learning about the cultures of all of these (and others as well).

  15. I'm English and French. That my family is of the royal blood line and we carry the Lavendar eyes and creamy white skin with strawberry blonde hair.

  16. Mostly english, german, and dutch

  17. 50% Italian

    25% French-Canadian

    25% English-Canadian

None of my great grandparents were born in America. On my dad's side, they both came from Italy in the 1920s - they were from the same village and came to the US on the same ship, but did not meet until after WWII! On my mom's side, one came from Quebec (French-Canadian) but I have not been able to trace her back to France. The other was Canadian too, from Nova Scotia and of English descent.

I love how although Italian-Americans have largely assimilated like other white European-Americans, but still retain so much of their own culture. It's sad that I'm only half Italian though :(

  18. (in order of prevalence)

    norwegian

    english

    cherokee

i looooove the norwegian (porcelain skin, dark hair, strong features)

i love the english as well because it puts a fiery spunk in my attitude

i love the cherokee because it gave me wonderful high cheekbones and luminescent eyes.

  19. I am about 75% Italian

    about 10% Polish

    10% French descent

the rest is a big question mark: my mom says I am 5% Native American/Canadian native and my moms mom says we are French Canadian, but it is my moms dad who is supposedly native, so I am Canadian I guess!

Irony: my fiance is also maybe Native maybe not. His monther claims they are native american and his monthers mother claims they are philipino, but once again same exact situation for him, it is his mothers father that is supposedly native.

  20. English and Irish from my dad's side, Cherokee and German from my mom's. I love it all because I have relatives of each that are more concentrated, so I get to learn about it all.

  21. Almost 1/2 Greek, Just over 1/4 German, and 1/4 Irish. My last name is Italian, though because one of my grandparents was adopted. I love being Greek and really identify strongly with that part of myself. I love the fact that I tan easily to a beautiful olive color and I love my gorgeous Greek curls. I love the Greek traditions, too. Watch "My Big Fat Greek Wedding--" that's my family, I swear!

  22. im irish and itailian.

    i love it.

i have freckles but dark italian hair and eyes,

and my last name is Murphy.

    so i love that too
