any type of marriage will work if love is involved after marriage. love may be in picture right from the beginning when two people start to know each other and decide to marry what we call love marriage or it may develop after marriage between two strangers, something that happens in arrange marriages.

I am from India and I have seen a pure and true love in my parents marriage, grand parents marriage, my parents in laws marriage ( all arrange marriage) and many more other arrange marriages, so love is what matters either  already there before marriage or after marriage doesn't make much difference, now how love develops that's a matter of whole new discussion, i can take that some other time :)

yes arrange marriage is better.Because our family supports us they give blessing and they will praise on us and if we do love marriage they will not support us and without our parents blessing we cant live happlly in our life

Every age group will give their opionion. In maintaining a long relation arrange marriage or even love marriage being arranged is the best. As long as you both get on to gether well no problems. But the moment you get into some hick-up you require a mediator and preferably from the close circle. so arrange marriage is the best

They both can be good and bad.  Here's my take on arranged marriages.  Keeping in mind that I am an average American with no ethnic or religious ties to this custom.  Couples who are involved in arranged marriages go into the marriage ( I think) with a different set of mores of what the marriage is about.  It's about providing a home life for the couple and ultimately for the children.  Eventually they may grow to love each other but not always....in any event they love the children.  Is that any different than a couple who stay together for the children?

Love marriages are good but ultimately as is the general case the couple change and the love often changes.  Hence the rise in divorces.  If a couple going into a marriage realize that the "IN" love often changes to companionship/love and learns to expect this then they will be better equipped to deal with it and the marriage can last a life time.

Which is better?  Love wins out in my book....but they both can work.

I believe in real love. I mean arranged marriages are way to overated. How can you marry someone that (1) you barely know, (2) you just met or (3) worst of all, you could probably never love??????

i think that arranged marriages is unfair for the couple since they do not really get the chance to choose their own husband/wife. Also, it will not be easy for them to be a wedded couple since they do not love each other. they may also think that the marriage is a form of prison for them, making it impossible to actually like each other. However, there is also a possibility for them to fall in love, eventually. :P
