I like the idea of stretching the rules.  That is what business is about and that's what great sports are about.  The Aluminium Bat was a hoot.  The Squash Ball Glove, the stretched webbing on keepers' gloves (note plural keepers).  It's not against the rules, so let's test it.  It is actually the natural instinct that keeps humanity improving itself.

Most amusing - the Symonds bump on the streaker and all the fuss.  In the emotion charged time, Indian fans were quick to forget "what if that idiot had've then run over and attacked or embarrassed Singh, who was public enemy number 1 at the time".  Symonds did the world a favour by eliminating that risk from the risk register!!

We all have morons in our societies.  Symonds cleaned one up with the best hip and shoulder a footballer could hope for!

I never get any pleasure from controversy in cricket, I usually cringe with embarrassment. The only thing I laughed about was Symonds shoulder charging that streaker, & Greg Chappell hitting a streaker on the bum with his bat! lol
