  1. There is absolutely no doubt that the Monarchy, as currently constituted, is the best thing we've got.

It is a constant reminder to all politicians, lawers, prelates, and members of the armed forces that no matter how high they go, or powerful they seem, there is a higher power, permanently installed, which is constitutionally required to defend all the people of this country against any excess.

The monarchy is also a unifying force in the country. In the United Kingdom it is now the Monarchy that makes Great Britain great.

Anyone who has doubts about the value of the Monarchy only has to look at our republican allies. The United States and France, for example, are crazy about the Monarchy, and despair at the comparison with their own head of state.

  2. I think they do a good job. but that's as far as it goes for me as i am Irish so i am biased OK. They were very cruel to Irish people in their time not the Royals that are in power now ok

  3. I don't really think about them except in the way I would about a soap opera on TV. They seem like actors.

  4. I am truly loyal and I don't understand.

  5. I am an Englishman and i find the royal family pointless, dated and ineffectual.

In fairness my views on government and world politics sits in the same basket but there you go, that's my opinion ;)

  6. worthless bloodsucking money grubbing leaches who would not know a real emotion or honest feeling if it smacked them across the face.

and what the bunch of them need is a good face smacking

  7. I am a Canadian of British decent, I am very proud of the Monarchy, The Queen doesn't cost your average Brit. very much, but does bring in a tremendous am out of tourism,Despite what some believe the Queen doesn't keep all the nobility, As for abolishing it I feel it is much better to give a person a title (ex the "Duke of Earl" or what ever) then to give him/her money which could go to helping challenged children. Would you sooner live in Canada or the U. S. A..As for her children's behavior there are worse kids to have Charles (in some ways) is very much a head of his time with his interest in the environment--it was unfortunate that he just couldn't keep his pant up--he does a lot of work for under privileged kid with his charity.  he could have lived in Camelot

  8. they are no longer needed, they have no real time for the people who support them they are out of touch with real life, they still live in a dream world, which is out of date, we should get rid of them and save money

  9. I do my duty to serve Her Majesty if and when she requires me to fulfill my oath. -Douglas Stuart of the Clan Stuart

  10. I think they fetch in a lot of revenue into this country.I enjoy the pomp and ceremony of all the pageantry with queens birthday etc.what a job though, shaking hands, smiling and being nice to some one you secretly dislike. good for them.

  11. the monarchy is old and outdated. do not reflect the times of today.

  12. out dated, old fasioned,  spongers, tend to get away with everything . the list is endless .................

  13. I am British and of good honest stock, my family have worked hard in these islands for centuries.  I am pro-monarchy and believe passionately that we will always need a monarch to lead our country.  As for the current Household to hold the Crown, I feel that they are an ineffective disgrace to the country.  Their Children have become sinful, it is high time that there was a new house which is strictly Christian and provides a good moral example to the nation.

  14. To be not in bias position, A DEFINITION: Monarchy is a definition nothing but a system of order and governance of a certain family in corporation having purchased a certain countryside by treaty of both sides. The said purchased was through marriage or in monetary of certain amount of gold or deed of exchange. By this transaction a Treaty of both parties is the LIcense or A crown title of which hieress or the vassal of the Lord was the name in contain of that license or the crown title.

What happened 1905 The world was inflected by american notion of democrasy. Due of course of Monarch despotic management of common residents thus basic human rights has been neglected. 1702/1905 at the treaty of Ultretch King William III by Queen Anne/Queen Sophie of York has primarily resolve the tennet problem of UK and all Europe countries by advocating Gibraltar.

1953 The Constitution of UK was launched Constitutional monarchy.Where monarchs was limited in power. But the sanctity of the Title remains active to license the counryside governance, this has been implemented in UK, but unfortunately in Denmark 1972 has been falcificated by US conspiracies.

For me, I maybe born on a silverspoon of royalty. But I am educated in American way.  For me A government who doesnt respect sovereign in contain of valid wills and state crown title is  a clear governance in not just despotic but simply a government of perjuries unlicense fake impowerment.

Monarchy is just like you who purchase a 250 sq mt. Having name that land the name of your only child. In that 250 sq mt. You invited friends with you. You gave then their share by helping you in managing that land. They call you lord, Your son Their young master, The manager The count, you all eat in one round  table of nobility. Isnt it unfair by one visitor conspire and brain washed you of the idea of democrasy and kill the young master, terrorized the lord and throw then out of their own property. Threathened them anywhere they go. If one monarch has been of despotic governance just because of unresolved bilateral dessagreements.

It is not a problem if this newfound notions of social democratic revolution, is sporty enough to go galantry. Buy the monarch land. Be honest in all billateral transactions and not the practised of Political conspiracies and political warlording in identity theif.

Monarchs now a days are constitutionally arrested lived by means of allowance. 24  Thousand Crona a month, what is that.... a medicine for hungry strike...

Its so nice to imagine yourself le grand monarch or a damb blond princess inlove to a fake prince, of which of such being dumb was unrealized. Cause it is being adored by commoners daydreaming...

Its so sad to realized that kids in europe are being deprived in their social education about political sciences of past history from the republicanism of Greece to Rome to US. I had met a kid from school of high school student doesnt even know what is going on in his country politically cant descuss opinion since he has no idea of any of his government bilaterral order. All he do is memorised the names of past invented monarchs so he could pass his final exam. Unknowingly no idea which of the monarchs are responssible of his lost religion now in relics.

For me monarchy is not a fashion to just simply carry politically self esteem. Monarchy cannot be regarded obsolete unless this is being surrendered and conquered by political in notion absolute  purchase. However the monarch collateral value since 1702 by 1975 has risen to 136trillion in pounds in value. That is only for Queen Anne. Not included the other monarch property like the Li Empire and other Turk-Armenian.

I think Human right and respect  is the most important in this world. Monarchy should be the government to care and government at peace and not a pretending monarchy in allege puppetry in practice of falcification and political conspiracies ,identity theif, mobbery murder of valid royals in horrow by political invalid impowerment.

Therefore as The Duke of Windsor expertly expressed: Monarchy is just an activity  matters of some brainy but earthly engaged in  geneal sports.

Thank you for this question. May your thanksgiving brings you a renewable  family reunion. I had plenty of religion actually cause of relatives from all walks of my catlike 9 lives.

  15. well i think, if the reason in keeping the monarchy is to keep the tradition, i don't think it is quite relevant enough nowadays. there so many other ways in maintain the tradition. even we can put it in every school so that the young will know their tradition much better. this is a liberal era, every people has their own freedom that must be respected. what about monarchy? the fact is that all monarch people do not have any freedom at all. i think what we should continue is the spirit of it and not continue in having the real monarchy itself.

  16. It's one of the few things that sets us apart from other countries, however the past 20 years public activities and the increased media attention has done the Royals no good at all. The majority of Brits still like the Royals but see them as emotionless people who use up far too much of the taxpayers money.

Since Princess Di & Fergy went from our screens I can take em or leave em nowadays.

  17. I think they are the best part of our culture. They do a super job and Britain would not be great without them.

  18. Personally I am a big supporter of the Royal Family, and think we should all be very proud to have them. A lot of people who write comments like they are leeches, etc have no idea what they are talking about. The Queen and all the Royal Family pay tax, the Money the Queen receives, is for running what is known as The Royal Household. In other words for the running of Buckingham Place, Windsor Castle, etc which costs a lot of Money. Also another thing not to be forgotten is that indirectly the Queen, and the Royal Family bring a lot of money into this Country via Tourism. My Personal view is that we should never abolish the Royal Family. As for the so called Royal Scandal's, people should remember a scandal sells newspapers, and makes for good TV ratings, so a lot of these are often blown out of all proportion by the Newspapers and TV. One thing people tend to forget the Royal Family, are only human like the rest of us.   Manxbiker

  19. They are there, I don't think the Royal Family will be disposed of during my lifetime, so I just put up with them.

  20. Don't really care about them to be honest. There have been too many scandals and and don't really see the point of all of the pomp. I think they take themselves far too seriously. I am afraid I feel that it is unnecessary and dated.

  21. get rid of the monarchy, we dont need them ,

  22. exactly what Purple Duck said

  23. manxbike:  just who are you trying to convince?  They are not just like us.  Do you have any idea just how much money these parasites are worth?  Billions of dollars!!!  Anybody who supports them has their heads in the clouds and it sure sounds like you do to be so easily fooled!!!

  24. I think they are all cu.nts

  25. I think that the monarchy is an antiquated idea that has no place out of a feudal society and it is time that the royal family stepped down and we became a republic.

    Tico

  26. The monarchy is a good thing for this country , where politician's are corrupt to the hilts , the monarchy keeps us  unites us as one nation  .

  27. I think the monarchy is old and outdated however I do think it does serve some purposes. The monarch still has some powers but very few.

I have nothing against the monarchy. They don't bother me. In fact, I like them. But, as we all know, times change. It's not the 1500s anymore.
