  1. 80$ every week

  2. $400 bucks a month for a family of five, and that's on a shoestring. But there are also cleaning, personal hygiene and paper products included in my "grocery" budget. Most of the $$ goes toward organic produce. Pricey, but worth it.  Instead of buying meat, which is expensive, I buy produce. It's not a sacrifice, it's a trade-off.

  3. im not sure of an exact average cost, because I'm not a vegan, but I do eat all-organic. some great local markets are whole foods, and trader joes. they have really good quality foods. their let's say "organic potato chips" are a little bit pricier than non- organic potato chips, but trust me. it is definitely worth the price. sorry i couldnt help you with the average. / =

  4. I shop vegan-organic for just myself, and it only comes out to about $200 per month. The first month though I spent about $400 because I needed to buy all of the necessities, like peanut butter & agave syrup, vegan butter etc that all cost $8-$9.

But after you stock up on that stuff, you have it for a while, the price of your grocery bill drops dramatically, since most of what you're buying is produce & it ends up being cheaper than meat. Hope I helped =)

  5. Local is more important to me than organic, but if I can get both, that's terrific.

Whole Foods is my fave.  You can get anything in the world there.  I've taken to calling it "Whole Paycheck," though.  I can spend $600 on monthly groceries, easily.  But I will save myself a lot of money later when I don't have cancer or heart disease because I ate the highest quality food available to me.  I make a lot of money, so I can afford it.

  6. I spent $158 last month on my grocery bill.

That includes all cleaning, personal care products as well for a single person.

  7. I've pretty much given up eating organic. Its just too expensive.

  8. it depends, sometimes you have to restock on basics: flour, sugar, peanut butter, almond butter, canned chili, soup, soy milk, margarine, etc etc frozen edamame....

I buy all my fruits and vegetables at the farmer's market and save a lot of money that way

I spend about $125/month on groceries though

when I moved into my apartment and dropped my meal plan at college, I spent MUCH more the first couple months because of buying spices and stuff

I bake my own bread, i think that saves money

    and my own sweets

the only food i buy regularly are beans, rice, vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds (nuts and seeds are killer on price :( but so good)

I don't buy beverages, i just drink water from my brita filter

  9. $200.00
