  1. switch your light bulbs!

  2. recycle everything you can.

  3. walk to work

  4. there are things you can do to go green that actually save you money instead of spending.

simple things like use less electricity, save water, or save gas...

reduce the use of your car

or choosing to consume products with less packaging. (unlike water bottles where all you pay for is the packaging)

or buying from local growers (less money spent in transport to stores)

there are lots of things that you can do to save money that in turn will help the environment.

  5. I bought a couple new power strips on which each outlet is switched.  Plugged in all of the chargers for things like camera batteries, iPod and the like.  Turn them off when not charging the device, otherwise they draw current all the time.

  6. -turn off lights when your not using them

    -bring you won bags

-unplug unused electronic appliances (computers, TV's, printers, etc.)

-walk, bicycle, ride bus to work

-bring your own mug if ordering coffee or tea

-use reusable water bottles and fill your own instead of buying bottled water (they are no better than tap water)

-shop for produce grown close to home as much as possible

  7. carry your own tote bags into stores with you - to save on plastic waste and unnecessary paper bags

  8. I turned down my water heater all the way & its still hot enough... also use cold water to wash hands & rinse things whenever possible.

  9. If you have a local food co-op, join it and buy your foods in bulk and with reuseable containers that you bring from home.

Stop watching television and read more.

  10. recycle

    instead of buying water bottles

get empty jugs and go to water store

not only saves you money but also green =)

use those curly light bulbs those will save you money on electricity in the long run and lasts longer

turn off tv and computer when not using or no one is around

  11. go to www.viropop.com and watch their weekly show "Zaproot". Then, at least you're conscious of the many ways to go green. Actually, its a great show: its hilarious and very informative. I suggest you subscribe on youtube. You can search youtube for viropop and their videos should pop up.

  12. turn the lights off when u leave a room. not only is this affordable but it can save you money!!

  13. Get a bicycle and in bad weather take a bus. Cars are enormously expensive to keep up, in all senses.
