  1. Scapa Flow in  Scotland is wicked if you're a "wreckie", as is Newhaven, Brighton, all along that bit of coast. Get yourself a thermal under suit and semi dry suit like I did and you won't be too cold. Scapa Flow might be better with a dry suit though. It's different diving to abroad, but is still great fun but in a different kind of way. Look up scuba diving in the U.K. on the net, dozens of ideas. Happy diving!

  2. Warmest seas- Isles of Scilly.

Clarity of water (best visibility)- Isles of Scilly

Most wrecks per square mile- Isles of Scilly.

(1100+ logged wrecks around the islands so far)

As we are not blessed with coral reefs, what else is there to think about? Try the Isles of Scilly. Used to live there, bit remote and very quiet in winter, but not a bad place for a few days in summer.

Helicopters go from Penzance, which has a mainline train station for London and Edinburgh.

Flights go from Newquay, Exeter, and Land's End.

The Scillonian (boat) goes from Penzance.

There is a variety of accommodation from camping on St Marys through to three or four star luxury hotels.

The restaurants and pubs are reasonable, but there isn't a great deal of entertainment.

    Enjoy.

  3. I hear Cornwall, Plymouth Hoe and Dorset in the South-east are popular spots.
