What's your biggest financial blunder? ?

If you could turn back the hands of time and change your decision regarding your finances, what would you have done differently?

I would have thought twice about putting classes on a credit card. And also would have not sold our house, until we had set aside more money. Luckily enough I'm still young enough to bounce back from my mistakes. And also smart enough to learn from my mistakes.

I may not have money, but I have the love from my husband and family to pull me through this rough patch.

  1. I have been really good for the last 10 years or so, but when I was in my 20's I didn't really understand the importance of good credit.  I do now, but it has taken me years to get a good Fico Score, which I am proud of.

  2. I have a lot of life lessons I learned through financial mistakes.  The biggest one of which occurred during the stock market crash in 1987.  I trusted my broker, followed his investment advice and went to Monte Carlo thinking everything was under control.  I got the call that the market crashed and realized most of the investments he put me in were worthless.  Some recovered, most didn't, so now I do my own research and don't always trust what the "experts" tout as the next big winner.  Thankfully, I was young enough to absorb the losses, but some of those investments took 10 years to recover.

  3. I would have cut up all our credit cards, and never gone to the dentist.
